Please note that the child model featured here does not have a diagnosis of autism and is being used to demonstrate discrete trial teaching (part of a comprehensive ABA program) at various levels.
Intermediate Stage  
Functions:
This program helps increase the child's understanding of the environment and objects within the environment. It helps expand language and reasoning skills. The child learns to connect objects to their functions. It helps expand language and reasoning skills. The child learns to connect objects to their functions.
   
Describing:
This program helps children attend to objects, see that objects have components that make up a whole, apply multiple adjectives and descriptors to an object, expand language as eventually full sentences are required, and address recall as a more advanced stage of describing does not involve a visual reference.
